"The Good Guys" and more

Well I haven't blogged in the last couple days cause it has been super busy and crazy here. It is very good stuff though. Sat. morning I had an audition for a independent short film called "The Favor", I was auditioning for the lead role Sara. First off I got lost and couldn't find the room that the audition was at but I didn't give up. I finally found it and I was 20 mins. late. They were very cool about it and I was all excited and out of breathe cause all the searching I was doing. I went up to the X and did my lines. I messed up once but I didn't let it slow me down or even that it effected me. After I was done I joked around with them a little and said that I had fun and talk to them soon. I worked on "The Good Guys", it was an 5pm call time and we didn't wrap until 6am on Sun. We were at the stages (police station). This was episode 8 and it is going to be a good one. I don't want to give much away but let's just say the Bradley Whitford (Dan) takes on a new persona!! He is such a versatile actor. He does accents really good as well. I was also told that there is going to be some skippy clothing by one of the actors (not one of the females, ;) I got to see Diana Maria Riva doing her thing and being the best Head Lady in Charge!!! Also got to talk to her and she was talking to me about the Upfronts that she and all the rest of the cast going to do in New York!! She is so nice to talk with me. We did about 7 scenes. The very last scene was hilarious cause it was between Diana (Lt. Ruiz), Bradley (Dan), and Colin (Jack), with it being like 5 am Colin was getting the giggles which of course become contagious. Crew, extras, Diana, Bradley, and Colin were all laughing. The director was like let's skip that part and Bradley was like we can do it. The finally got it and it was awesome. I have had that happen before (getting the giggles) and it took all my strength to get it under control. I also got to talk to talk with Mitch Engel (yes that is the name on my CSI shirt). He asked if he could take a picture of me in my uniform, I was like sure. We ended up talking a lot and he is very nice. I even ending up taking a picture with him at the end of filming. I think that is all for that part, now when I got home Sun. morning my kids were wide awake and didn't want me to sleep so I stayed up. Now for the big news that I haven't been say I went to a special preview of "The Good Guys", I got to view the pilot episode and episode 4. Now let me tell you how excited I am cause in the pilot I was really in it. You could see me right next Bradley and Colin when they entered into a crime scene. I even gave Bradley (Dan) a weird look cause he was ....... Ok I can't say anymore cause I don't want to ruin it but it is really good. I even had some of the other extras come up to me and say since I got the most scene time that I was hosting the next viewing party. There were also time in the police station that I am seen but it is really quick and I knew where to look so, just look for the blonde in uniform. The first thing my hubby said as we watched the episode is that the writing for the show was awesome. I agree, it is so good. I only get to see bits and pieces and they are hilarious, but the whole thing together is INCREDIBLE!! We took a quick break and then started episode 4. Oh my goodness, LOVE IT!! This episode is really good and let's just say there is a bug going around it makes it really funny to see what happens next!! At the very end I was like WOW!!! Man this show is just so good as a whole that ... man I can't even think of the words. Then when I got home from the preview I got home I got a phone call from Kyle (director from "The Favor") he wanted to let me know that I got the part. Man I was on so excited!! I was having the best last couple days. Then I finally got to sleep after being up for more than 36 hours. Waking up the next morning was rough but I had a lot to do. I had an audition for a print job for Frito Lay and then I had my premiere of "Pros and Cons.." were I was first an extra and then got bumped up to a part with a line. My bulldog also got to be in the film. I had to clean the house really good cause the next couple days are going to be busy again. The audition was jam packed with people. I waited for an hour and half before they took four different pictures. We will see what happens, the shoot day is either the 26th or 27th. Today I have been doing family stuff and also wanted to catch up on my blog while I wasn't crazy busy. Tomorrow I have a photo shoot with a really good friend who is going to get me a new type of headshot and a really good bodyshot. Then I have some meeting in the afternoon with some other actors and my manager. I have a meeting with the crew and cast of the music video that I am lead in this Fri. Sat. have an audition for "The Reckoning" for two different parts. Also have acting class if I can get to it. I have also checked the usual spots and submitted to several different projects in the area. Tip for the last couple day is this, I am taking this one from my audition. If you mess up during an audition make sure and not let it mess you up or break character, if you just keep on going and not let affect you. When I used the word "Safety" instead of "Safe" I was sure I messed up but I didn't break character and after I was myself and chatted with them. This is going to be a fun part and I am glad that I didn't let my little slip affect me. So for now we will see what tomorrow brings.
