The Good Guys

Well Tues. was filming on "The Good Guys" and let me tell you it was awesome!! They blew up some chicks house (well her windows in the front and something on front porch). They did two different explosions and they both made me jump. I was watching from across the street and that was very cool. Then I got to go investigate it. Which was really fun cause I got to see what they used to blow out the windows (til they took the explosion stuff out of scene). It was a very cool day cause when I got home I got to see a commercial for "The Good Guys" and oh my goodness was it awesome!! Then today was a good day I got to practice with my hubby, Todd, and Walt for "Broken Seconds". It was fun to work with my hubby. Got cast on "The Good Guys" again tomorrow playing CSI, going to be at the station tomorrow!! No new projects so for now we will see what tomorrow brings.

Cool Day

Today was a very cool day. My oldest, Katherine, got to work on the set of "Chase" as a double for Sissy a little girl. The had to put some mousse in her hair to make it more brown like the little girls. She looks so different with dark hair. She did awesome and they really liked how she listened and just rocked it. They used her a lot, many different shots. As we were leaving they told her that she is going to be on NBC in September on the t.v. show called "Chase". How cool is that. Now she wants to be an actress, of course, lol. We will see what happens with that. Also have been hearing some talk about "Chase" and "The Good Guys" can't say to much right now but I will soon. Looked in the usual spots and didn't find anything. Got called to work as CSI on "The Good Guys" tomorrow and man am I excited. I am looking forward to see what crime scene they will have me investigating. I will blog all about it tomorrow. So for now we will see what tomorrow brings.

"Tips"

Today was filming of "Tips". Again it was a early call time as usual was up and out of the house by 2am. When I got there they were already setting up. We were suppose to do some outside shoots but it was really windy outside so that was a no go. I got my hair and makeup done and I was ready to go. We started with the establishing shot with the extras in the bar. Which that took a lot more time than anticipated. It was really cool some of my very awesome friends from Dallas Image joined in and had a blast. I got to tell a guy "Do Not F*** With Me!!" and I was so on it, it was scary. Also one of the practice runs I hit the guys hand away to hard and we ended up busting up laughing because he went in to Kung Fu mode. It was a lot of fun all the extras started laughing. Then was on the the rest of our scenes. I ended up getting some really cool close ups done and thought that I was able to portray the character of Jessica the way the director wanted. He seemed pretty happy. Also called Amberly (Walt's mom) who is playing my son in "Broken Seconds", to get a time to rehearse. Filming for "Broken Seconds" starts on Apr. 5th. Also got another friend send me an address for a feature film coming up called "Larry Crowne" starring Tom Hanks. By what see said it is to start filming here in Dallas in April. All other spots I normally check didn't have anything new. So for now we will see what tomorrow brings.

Great Day

Well I rested yesterday so that is why no blog. Thurs. on "Midland" was a long night and morning, I didn't get home until about 3am on Fri. It was very cool though when I got there of course we saw wardrobe and then when we went back to holding there was a lady there doing makeup and everyone was lining up. I was like wait a sec we are extras whats up? But I got in line and the makeup lady was very nice and I asked her what was up and she said that they just want to make sure there ain't no crazy makeup or ones with out it. Also it was really funny when she started to do my makeup she said I was super pale (she had to get out her palest powder to do a couple touch ups) that I could pass for a Twilight Vampire. I thought that was cool of her to say that. When on set I ended up walking in front of main characters and then also behind them. So I am definitely seen. Also while on set I talked to one of the casting people of "The Good Guys" and she let me know that I should be doing CSI on the show Tues. YEAH!! I am so happy it is starting back up again. Today has been a great day!! First I got the house all clean and ready for the upcoming week. Went to the park with the kids which was a good thing cause this coming week is going to be very busy!! First off my oldest Katherine got picked to double work on "Chase" and then Tues. will more than likely be "The Good Guys" (YEAH!!) also I have filming of "Broken Seconds" will be starting so I will be studying my lines a lot. I have looked and not found anything new for projects. I have received a couple emails about some projects in LA that I am wanting to submit for ("Friends with Benefits" and "The Perfect Family"). So for now we will see what tomorrow brings.

I have a friend that told me about some projects that I maybe interested in doing. Will let you guys all know when I know more details. Will also tell you guys all about what happens on "Midland" on next blog cause I think I maybe to tired to blog when I get home. So for now we will see what tomorrow brings.

"Chase"

Today was on location with "Chase" playing a pretty girl bar patron. It was fun to be on the set again with the crew and cast of "Chase". We were at the stockyards in Fort Worth at a bar called the White Elephant (they had tons of different types of white elephants around everywhere). I think it was the last part of the pilot because there was celebrating going on and then something happens (can't really say of course but trust me its good). Got to see the main 5 U.S. Marshals interacting and cutting a rug. They all a very cool people. Also got a chance to talk with a very cool man Gary Brown (who I meet when working on The Deep End) and he remembered me which is very cool. We talk about what to expect with this show and let me tell you it all sounds great. Also talked with a friend of my manager and he is going to be putting on stage combat and stunt training. I am so there and can't wait to start pretend fighting, lol. So for now we will see what tomorrow brings.

Acting Class!!

Oh my goodness acting class tonight was awesome!! It was so cool we ended up going outside cause of daylight savings and did some improv. We started out with this kinda Breakfast Club style of talking and we all gave each other what character to play. Then we did this The 70s Show style were we would move the camera when we talked and would talk for like 15-20 seconds. Again we played a different character told to us by another actor. It was cool to think of some different types of character and traits for the other people. Then we had 2 fors (2 people at a time, there was four of us today) and I got teamed up with Jamie Maxwell which was really cool. I did this like rant and raving philosophy type of banter. It was a lot of fun!! I really was stretching myself on that. Then we went up stairs and watched what we did (cause if you want to know how you look on camera and act it should be recorded). It was really cool to watch. When watching I was able to find things that I needed to work on were are my strengths. I can't wait to see what the last skit Jamie and I did is going to look like when Ben is done editing. It is going to be HILARIOURS!!!

Good Day

Today has been a good day. First I got in the cleaning craze and have cleaned my house from top to bottom. That means it must be spring. I looked in the usual spots for projects and didn't find anything new. I have acting class tonight which I can't wait to get to cause it has been a couple weeks since last one. Also I talked to the acting coach and he said that we are doing improv and scripts today, YEAH!!! It is fun to do improv cause you don't know whats going to happen. So for now we will see what tomorrow brings.

Good Day

Today has been a good day. I got to spend time with the family which was great. Then I did some work on reading my "Broken Seconds" script. It is going to start filming in the beginning of April. I have been looking forward to this project for a long time. I also found out the I will be working on "Midland" the FOX t.v. pilot this Thurs. as a hotel guest. Then next Monday filming of "The Good Guys" will be starting back up and I can't wait. I looked in the usual spots and found new projects that I could submit to. So for now we will see what tomorrow brings.

Shooting of Tips

Today has been a very full day. I didn't get much sleep last night my youngest wouldn't go to sleep. I sleep a total of 30 minutes last night, with waking up at 1am to start getting ready for filming of "Tips" today. Call time was 3am and to make it worse it was snowing and icing outside. The shoot was not called off so I was on my way. It was kinda cool the snow flakes were big and so as I was going down the highway I thought I was in Star Ways when they were going in to warp speed and the stars would fly by in a cool look. That is what it looked like this morning. The only problem though is that there are tons of bridges on my way to the location and I got to see a few accidents and then an almost accident. I was behind a semi truck cause they always clear a good path. There was a small truck that went by rather fast and we got up to a curved bridge and he ending up doing a 360+ cause it was sideways right in front of the semi and I was like OHH NOO but semi stopped and everyone was good. Filming was cool I got to play bartender which was fun. I got a Absinthe t-shirt which was very cool and I even get to keep the shirt. The snow and wind was giving us some trouble with sound but we worked until the battery on the camera died. So next Sun. from 3am to ? again to hopefully finish it out. I haven't really had a chance to check sites today cause I was pretty beat. I will check everything out tomorrow. Also will be calling in to casting people for work on "Midland" on the Thurs. So we will see what tomorrow brings.

Good Day

Today was a good day. I worked on my script of "Tips" since I will be shooting at 3am on Sun. which is not to long from now. I meet with my manager and talked about another way of promotion for myself. Also talked about SAG options, which I have to call my local SAG office to get more details. I checked the usual spots for projects and didn't find much that doesn't conflict with my current projects. Got to get some rest cause have filming real early. Will post tomorrow how filming of "Tips" went. Also if you are an aspiring actor and would like to be in a short film needing extras for next Sun. here in Dallas. If you are interested comment and I will get back to you. For now we will see what tomorrow brings.

Great Day

Today has been a very good day. I first off got to play with my kids which is always good. I talked to the people that are handling the casting of "Midland" a t.v. pilot shooting here in Dallas and they wanted to use me next Thurs. which is so cool. I will find out more on Mon., so check back then for details. Then I had submitted to a couple projects yesterday and I got a call from the casting director. He seemed really cool it is a horror film that will be shooting in Aug. and Sept., which works out great. He already has an idea of what character I would be perfect for. He said that when he saw my picture it was the exact look that he wanted the Christie character to have. That made me happy to hear. Bonus also it will be a paid gigs which is totally good. I must say that all the free indies that I have done is so worth it now that I am making money when I do my films. Lesson to everyone, if you want to be an actor, get experience and training. The way to do that do free indie work and take classes. Also observe and learn not only acting but all parts of the industry because that makes you a better actor if you know things. Like editing if you learn more about that you know how important it is to hit your marks and repeat same thing over and over again the same way. Or learning some DP work teaches about how to use camera to your advantage. There is so much you can learn just getting on a set and listening and watching no matter what type of budget there is. So that is a little insight for any new followers and hope you keep coming back. Also I have come up with some new way to help with promoting myself but I am still figuring it out but my friend gave me some ideas. I will let you all know when idea is more concrete. So for now we will see what tomorrow brings.

Good Day

Well today has been a very good day. First I woke up and I enjoyed my morning with kidos and got to watch a movie with hubby. Which is also a way to work on your craft as an actor, like watching camera angles breaking down how the shoots and how the actors reacted. I know that sounds weird but I have started doing that a lot when I watch movies, learned it in acting class. I sometimes have to remind myself just to enjoy the show. Did some more networking with fellow people in the industry. Looked up the usual spots for any new projects and found a independent feature film that will be filming in late summer. So I submitted for that and I also was able to send out my information for "Sironia", "Searching for Sonny", and "Water for Elephants". It would be cool to get any of those. I will of course keep everyone up to date if I hear anything. So for now we will see what tomorrow brings.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Happy St. Patrick's Day. Well today has been a good day. I have played with the kids and hung out with the hubby. Then it was time to start networking and also look for projects in the area. I also had to create cover sheets for the projects that I have to send with my comp card and resume. I have found 3 projects that I will send my information in to. Two are here in Texas which are feature films, "Sironia" and "Searching For Sonny". And the other one is "Water For Elephants" that I have heard a lot of cool stuff about. I didn't find any new projects in the usual spots that I look at that are not going to conflict with projects that I am doing right now. Also I talked with several people that are also in the industry about up coming events and see if I would be interested. So we will see what tomorrow brings.

Good Day

Today was a very cool day. I got to meet with one of my fellow tweeters and got to talk a lot about industry stuff. The Good Guys was a big topic. Kate was very cool and I am glad I got to meet her. I didn't get to acting class today but I did work on my two scripts for "Tips" and "Broken Seconds" cause I really need to get them memorized. "Tips" starts filming this Sun. at 3 am and then suppose to finish up on the following Sun. starting at the same time. I am really excited about "Broken Seconds" I will start rehearsing with Walt who is to play my son starting next week after Spring Break. I wasn't able to send out my information for feature shooting in May but I will send out tomorrow and also got another address for a project coming up at the end of May. So we will see what tomorrow brings.

Hello

Hello out there. My name is Jennifer and I am an aspiring actress and model. I have decided to get out there more and promote myself. I also wanted to start a blog to show that you can not only be a mother and wife but you too can follow your dreams. I have doing a daily blog on my own personal website, www.jenniferbesser.com, but as a friend recently told me if I want to reach more people I need like a RSS feed. So I have decided to start blogging on here as well as my website. On my website it has tons of pictures and videos of different things of projects that I have been in and projects coming up. So I will catch up on what is going on so far.... I have been acting since June of 2009 and it has been going really good. I have been on 9 films (short and feature), been on "The Deep End" on ABC, "The Good Guys" on FOX, and some other t.v. projects. I also have been in 6 runway fashion shows and even maybe going for Torrid spokes model. I will also post things that I do on a daily basis to make it big by submitting to projects and other things, all the while being a mother and wife. I have been very fortunate and I believe if work hard enough, believe strongly enough, and put it out in the world enough that it will come true. If you have any comments or questions feel free to ask or comment. Thanks for taking the time and checking my blog out. So like I have kinda of created as my tag line, we will see what tomorrow brings.
